WELCOME! We specialise in luxurious, cloud-soft alpaca products that are a joy to live with and wear. 

Alpaca South is part of Wharncliffe Alpaca Stud, which has bred inky black alpacas since 1995. 

The Wharncliffe fleeces are processed into knitting yarn (see Wharncliffe Best Blacks), or prepared for handspinners. 

Alpaca South also presents a carefully curated collection of Brushed Throws and Scarves from New Zealand,  accessories  from creative Tasmanian crafters as well as a small range of knits from a quality Peruvian source. The Peruvian items are only available at our Market site.
